Greatdays ‘On the Road’
En-route to the Excursions 2026 Show, the Greatdays Sales Team – Guy, Claire and Dawn – decided to make a “pit stop” at the British Motor Museum near Gaydon, Warwickshire.
The café had to be tried first and the warming homemade soup was a treat on a cold winter’s day. Lauren Stanley from the museum then took them on a tour of the largest collection of historic British cars, with over 400 fabulous vehicles displayed in dedicated zones. Claire got excited to see Rock ‘n’ Roll Star John Lennon’s custom-built white Rolls-Royce Phantom V, Guy returned to his childhood upon discovering an immaculate Morris Minor Traveller partially built of wood and requiring a crank handle start on cold winter days (the car, not Guy), while Dawn was driven by the absorbing car stars of film and television from Del Boy’s Robin Reliant to Lady Penelope’s Pink FAB limousine.
Taking a stroll over to the Collections Centre they were able to see the impressive restoration workshop, the Jaguar heritage collection and numerous British cars rarely seen by the public.
A great day out was had by all at this amazing museum.
