RHS Garden Hyde Hall

The RHS Garden Hyde Hall is a peaceful garden and a perfect destination for groups. With its wide open skies and far reaching views, it has an eclectic combination of different gardens, with some 360 acres to explore.
Highlights include the fascinating Mediterranean inspired Dry Garden which showcases an array of drought tolerant plants that will thrive in an area of very low rainfall. Hyde Hall is actually in the driest part of the UK so enjoy the beautiful hilltop garden, rose garden, woodland, meadows and pasture which seamlessly blend into the vast open countryside.

Dates

RHS Hyde Hall Gardens are open all year round 10am – 6pm. The gardens close at 4pm in winter, please check www.rhs.org.uk/groups if you are visiting between October and March. Closed on Christmas Day.

Garden Highlights for Groups

The Dry Garden

One of the crowning achievements of Hyde Hall, created in 2001, it aims to show visitors how they can work with the environment and use drought-tolerant plants

Robinson & Woodland Garden

These two garden areas were first planted by Hyde Hall’s original owners, the Robinsons. In 2006 the Robinson Garden was reworked to create a contemporary garden with three distinct boggy areas.

Global Growth Vegetable Garden

The new garden which opened summer 2017, has a circular design to symbolise a globe with four quarters, representing Europe & the Middle East, Asia, North & Central America, and South America.

The Hilltop Garden

This has a number of different areas to explore, including ponds, borders, rose borders and island beds.

Clover Hill and New Zealand Garden

Admire the vast sweeping filled borders filled with grasses and perennials.

Winter Garden And Lake Walk

Celebrate the delights of Winter with its multitude of radiant stem colours, peeling barks, luminous leaf colours and dazzling berries.

Delicious food to tempt you

Opened in 2018 Gardeners Rest Restaurant offers spectacular views of the surrounding countryside, and wonderful menus with inspiration taken from the seasons best.
